When science correspondent William Stone interviews a famous Nobel Prize winner, he finds the scientist's key message disconcerting.
The man points out that, contrary to popular belief, we know little about what makes our universe, our planet or even our own bodies work.
The state-of-the-art, he says, is infinitely evolutive. Things that seem impossible today, have every chance of appearing commonplace tomorrow.
For all this enthusiasm though, William finishes the interview with the uneasy impression that the professor is holding something vital back.
He was entirely correct in this, but is utterly unprepared for what he will learn.
